A private burial will be held at Oak Grove Cemetery in Medford, Massachusetts Joseph (Joe) was born in Medford, Massachusetts to Joseph and Catena DiForte on January 20, 1944. He went to high school at Medford High and graduated in 1962. He worked as a Health & Beauty Aids Buyer for many years. Joe was an avid sports fan, with a passion for baseball. He always supported his home teams, Red Sox and Rays, but had a special place in his heart for his beloved Reds. Joe loved singing along to Doo Wop music and enjoyed a good all you can eat buffet. Joe loved his family and friends and never failed to send a card or call on a family member or close friend's birthday. Joe was a positive man who brought a smile to everyone’s face, whether he knew you well or was simply standing in line with you at the aforementioned buffet. He had a contagious laugh that could be heard for miles, and he is missed by all that knew him, friends and family alike. Joe is survived by his children Craig DiForte his wife Jill DiForte, Traci (DiForte) Swenson, four grandchildren Brianna Swenson, Kenny Gray, Paige DiForte, Cole DiForte, and one great-granddaughter Ava Salvidio. He is preceded in death by his parents Joseph and Catena DiForte, his brother Leonard DiForte and his sister Mary Botari.
