I knew Don when he grew up in New windsor. I knew the entire family. I have many memories at their house with the entire family.

Mr. Donald S Royce, you always told me that I was your favorite son in law around others, never letting on that I was also your only son in law. You always greeted me with not only a hand shake but a kiss on the cheek. I truly enjoyed all my time with you and learned alot from fishing together, working on the grandkids cars, doing home improvements or just sitting down together and having a beer. On the other side of that, your gambling tips never paid off but I still enjoyed going to the casino with you. If anything, I wish we could have another cruise together and the hunting trip you said you would like to have with myself and your sons Donnie and Jeff. There are very few people that I would say had an influence on my life and you my friend, are definitely one of them. With that, I want you dad, to know how much I love you and will miss you.
Your favorite son in law, Mike

My dad's most notable feature was his height and huge hands.. He stood over six feet tall, you would think that his towering presence would be intimidating. But my father was the most loving, kind and gentle person I've ever known. My father was an incredible person. My father wasn't okay with just being a wonderful father, but he also wanted to help others who need it. If you need a shirt he would take his off is back and give it to you. If you needed money he would pull out his wallet and give you what was in it. Some of my favorite childhood memories were when me and him would spend time fishing and camping or when he raced his stock cars. He taught me how to build and accomplish anything. I will always cherish the memories I have had with my father and know he is smiling down on all of us
