Theodore (Ted) Lee Rains, 49, of New Port Richey, passed away on April 18, 2020. He is survived by his mother, Dianna Phillips, sister, Yvette (Charles) Holt, three nieces, four nephews, five great-nieces, and three stepchildren, Michael, Jason and Alexis. He is also survived by his Aunt, Jane (Bruce) Turner and Aunt Ann Rains. He is predeceased by his father, Andy Rains. Ted was born April 30, 1970 in Beach Grove, Indiana. He lived in Beach Grove for 47 years before moving to New Port Richey, FL. While living in Indiana, he made a living running his own flooring company and working with others in the flooring industry for 33 years. During Ted’s freshman year at Beach Grove High School he earned a letter for playing Golf. He loved all types of ball games and fantasy sports. One of his favorite things to do was watch sports, drink his Budweiser and smoke cigarettes. He also loved to play darts with all of his buddies. Ted loved to collect old collectibles and anything made of wood. He was a rough guy on the outside but had a heart of gold. He will be dearly missed by all of his family and his friends back in Indiana. Ted will be cremated and his cremains will remain in Florida, where he so much loved the sunsets and palm trees. A Celebration of Life will be schedule at a later date.
